After several years of working as a consultant, I joined the Vincit recruitment team full-time. Here are my thoughts on the company after working in-house for the past year.
The real strength of Vincit is our culture
As a consultant, I’ve seen multiple ways of doing recruitment and experienced many different company cultures. I think the culture here is really unique and it fosters a sense of community I haven’t experienced before. For example, the Vincit Helsinki community has a lot of events – from yoga Mondays and making pizzas on the terrace to going out to lunch and various sports clubs.
The colleagues I have at Vincit also set this place apart. The work atmosphere is relaxed, but I’m surrounded by people with a lot of experience who really know their field. There is a diverse range of projects, so things never get boring, and a good balance between work and free time.
How we work is an advantage
I felt like I was part of the team from the moment I started working here. In our small but efficient recruitment team, we all have clear roles and responsibilities so everyone knows what to do. Although Vincit already had a well-established and effective recruitment process in place here, I’ve been able to bring my own way of working and best practices with me.
I also like that we collect feedback about recruitment so we can update our processes when needed to get the best outcome. What I personally think is the most important thing in recruitment is open communication. It helps build trust, ensures transparency, and allows both the company and candidates to make informed decisions. That is why I was really happy to find that clear communication – within our team, across teams, and with potential candidates – is highly valued and prioritized here at Vincit.
There is also a lot of freedom combined with responsibility.
Vincitizens can structure their workdays to suit their needs and ways of working. We can always modify the ways of working too in order to ensure we deliver what’s expected. I’ve been able to bring best practices to my job learned from years of work in this field, and I look forward to continuing to make recruitment as effective and friendly as possible.
